Our programs focus on critical environmental issues including climate change, emissions reduction, and environmental and climate justice.< /span> < span style="font-weight: 400">Green Leadership Trust, is a program of the Partnership Project.< /span> < b>About Us< /b>< span style="font-weight: 400">Founded in 2013, Green Leadership Trust (GLT) is entering an exciting opportunity for growth. We are seeking our first Administrative Coordinator to support our executive staff in their work to lead and accelerate our priorities of building power for people of color in the environmental sector.  We are a network of people of color and indigenous people who serve as legal fiduciaries of the nation’s environmental groups and environmental justice organizations. < /span>< span style="font-weight: 400">Since 2013, GLT has worked to build the power of the environmental movement. We expand the impact and leadership of Black, Indigenous and people of color serving on U.S. environmental nonprofit boards.< /span>< span style="font-weight: 400">GLT is a unique, cross-organizational alliance of board members focused on building power and diversity.  Our programming strategy is threefold: < /span>< ul> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">increase the number of people of color and indigenous people serving on environmental boards, thereby, growing our roster of talent and network of members and increasing the pool of people eligible for and interested in board service;< /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">provide best practices and resources on environmental governance and equity to environmental groups, environmental foundations and environmental justice organizations; and< /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">train and support our members and leaders of color in the movement to be efficient and effective spokespeople more broadly.< /span>< /li>< /ul>< span style="font-weight: 400">GLT is governed by a Steering Committee of the members with three elected Co-Chairs. We work closely with CEOs of environmental non-profit organizations and are funded by various private foundations and organizations. This position will report directly to the: Managing Director.< /span>< span style="font-weight: 400">This position will report to GLT’s managing director with collaboration across the team. < /span>< b>Job Details< /b>< span style="font-weight: 400">The Administrative Coordinator will support GLT in the following:< /span>< ul> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Provide calendaring and scheduling support to senior staff leadership, including scheduling and coordinating logistics of meetings and events, such as senior leadership retreats, not limited to but including: gathering vendors that fit mission and value requirements, communicating updates with attendees, etc.< /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Maintain a strong awareness of executive relationships, internal and external, and the ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity, care, and discretion; work collaboratively with senior leadership.< /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Attend meetings as requested, including taking and distributing notes as appropriate. < /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Support the coordination and execution of special projects and initiatives; create individual project plans, set timeline expectations, regularly communicate status, and ensure that projects are completed and managed for success. < /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Provide support with correspondence management, prioritizing emails, drafting correspondence, etc. < /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Process invoices and reimbursement requests, liaising with our fiscal sponsor to ensure strong record keeping and smooth reporting processes. < /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Maintain organized records of financial records; receipts, contracts, invoices, and so forth. < /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Assist with donor relations, donor communications, and grant applications and reports.< /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Participate in ongoing education on topics of interest pertaining to this position, including but not limited to feedback, emotional intelligence, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.< /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Maintain up to date data on membership, funders, and other stakeholders, by updating our database regularly. < /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Coordinate workflows to ensure that our board matching, recruiting, and onboarding processes are efficient. < /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">Support the execution of Steering Committee meetings, including scheduling, working with vendors, supporting travel logistics, preparing and gathering documents for review, distributing materials, and notetaking.< /span>< /li> < li style="font-weight: 400">< span style="font-weight: 400">As needed, supporting member led working groups with scheduling, drafting agendas, taking meeting notes, and sending reminder emails.< /span>< /li>< /ul> < b>Desired Competencies:< /b>< span style="font-weight: 400">The ideal candidate is a dedicated, energized, organized problem solver and self-starter and committed  to improving the environmental and social realities for Black, Indigenous and people of color across the US. This person must have experience working in a fast paced nonprofit environment supporting staff administratively. We’re looking for a skilled systems builder with strong managing up skills to support senior staff as we scale the organization for impact. < /span>< span style="font-weight: 400">This person will support our Managing Director in building and maintaining systems and workflows to support staff, consultants, steering committee members, and our general membership to effectively carry out GLT’s mission and advance and transform our on-going work. They will also play a key role in supporting our senior leadership with planning and prioritization in order to ensure efficiency across the organization. < /span>< span style="font-weight: 400">This position is best served by a person with strong planning and organizational skills. You should have competency with Google Suite, Zoom Video Conferencing, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. We expect you to have the ability to accommodate a flexible schedule that may involve weekend and evening commitments. When travel restrictions are lifted, you should expect to travel approximately 2-4 times per year. An ability to invite others into conversations during sensitive engagements.< /span>< span style="font-weight: 400">Uses tact and diplomacy in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters, to exhibit responsible and respectful demeanor when dealing directly with colleagues and partners.< /span>< b>< i>Innovation< /i>< /b>< span style="font-weight: 400">Demonstrated experience finding new solutions to persistent problems by building a diverse network of internal and external colleagues to imagine new solutions, taking risks by trying new approaches, learning from failure, and continually improving efforts.< /span>< span style="font-weight: 400">Ability to successfully work in a white dominant culture with awareness and action to dismantle hierarchies of oppression within that culture. Experience pushing movement partners and allies to incorporate equity into their work.< /span>< b>< i>Team player< /i>< /b>< span style="font-weight: 400">The person chosen for this position will report directly to the Green Leadership Trust’s Managing Director.  Your work will occur in coordination with our consulting partners at the Raben Group. Must work as a respectful and engaged team member with GLT staff, Steering Committee, and advisors. Should be able to work independently, meet deadlines, be accountable, be organized, conduct research, and track results.  < /span> < b>Compensation & Benefits:< /b>< span style="font-weight: 400">The pay scale for this position is $70-85k a year, and is an exempt position in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a full time (40 hours/week), 100% virtual role, with some travel and in person meetings required.
