Defenders is hosting a 10-week, paid internship program that is offered virtually, in-person at our headquarters in Washington, DC, or hybrid (in-person and virtual), from June 5th– August 11th. The purpose of our internship program is to expose students representing diverse backgrounds and communities to the world of conservation. Students will have the opportunity to explore Defenders’ portfolio of conservation efforts, be mentored by conservation experts, and build relationships with their peers. Their 10-week internship will culminate with a symposium where they will present their internship departmental project to the entire Defenders community. I would greatly appreciate it if you could circulate this among your students that are interested in careers in conservation.
Please see that attached descriptions for Communications, Field and Land Conservation, and Center for Conservation Innovation internships. The last day to apply to one these dynamic opportunities is February 10, 2023. I welcome any questions that you may have. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing you.
